This session will first demonstrate that MRO SCM is more complex than manufacturing or retail SCM, and therefore should set the bar for SCM systems! 

While retail or manufacturing supply chains are like a choreographed ballet, MRO is more like a battlefield - unpredictable, high-stakes, and incredibly complex. 

If one is selecting which SCM system to use, it should be that one that meets the MRO SCM requirements best. Out of the box, that is Maximo, except Maximo did not have P2P integrations, and so was overlooked many times in the past. But, now it does, and should not be overlooked anymore.

Nevertheless, many organizations have selected an ERP SCM system, and will not be going back. Can an ERP system provide the rich functionality to MRO that Maximo SCM can provide? 

Yes, it can, but most existing deployments do not. Most are compromises which minimise the number of integration points, minimize technical complexity, and are easier to maintain for IT, but are a poor solution for MRO users. 

This session will review the integration points needed for good support for MRO, and how to achieve them.
