The Landscape
We agree there are many great Maximo conferences and user group meetings, but most focus on Asset and Work Management while Supply Chain receives little attention.
It makes sense, Maximo is, at its core, an Enterprise Asset Management system, and by focusing on Assets, Maintenance, and Reliability, IBM built the best EAM platform in the market.
Ongoing Neglect
That focus, however, leads to the neglect of the Supply Chain Management components Inventory and Procure to Pay. Few presentations mean fewer round table discussions, which lead to fewer attendees, creating a spiral to the bottom.
Our Realization
This was a concern to us at P2Insight, because we’re exclusively focused on Supply Chain areas. Ninety percent of Maximo conference attendees were not from Supply Chain, which told us something important, Supply Chain professionals were underrepresented and underserved.
Our Response
If you can’t bring Moses to the mountain, bring the mountain to Moses.
That’s why we organized the MSCM Conference, to ensure that Supply Chain leaders have a dedicated platform to connect, learn, and grow within the Maximo ecosystem.
Our rally cry: Neglect, no more.
